Class Descriptions
Sing for Joy is an early childhood music and movement class for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers serving the NW Columbus area (Dublin, Hilliard, Powell, Worthington, Plain City) and designed to nurture your child's innate musical abilities. In each Sing for Joy class, you and your child will playfully learn through singing, dancing, rhyming, exploring musical instruments, and engaging with literature. Each of the activities in class help your child develop musical skills such as rhythm, pitch, tone, pattern recognition, and keeping a steady beat, as well as cognitive, gross and fine motor, language, listening and social skills.
My hope is that even outside of class, you and your child will take what you learn and experience in class to make every day more joyful through sharing music together!
All classes are taught by me, Mrs. Megan!
Mixed Age class (0-6 years)
Based on the ages of kids registered for the class in a given session, this class is customized based on elements of both the 0-24 month and 2-5 year classes! (see descriptions below)

About Mrs. Megan
Mrs. Megan has a passion for both teaching and music, and feels incredibly blessed to combine the two in her Sing for Joy classes! She taught reading and second grade at Chapelfield Elementary in Gahanna from 2010-2015, and has taught early childhood music classes since 2016. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Educational Studies from Denison University, and a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University. Megan also teaches Music and Movement classes at Indian Run United Methodist Church. She loves any opportunity to impact adults and kids with music, including leading and coordinating music programs for vacation bible school and summer camp at Discover Christian Church.
She has always loved singing, from youth choirs as a child to an a cappella group and bluegrass band in college. She has also played piano, trumpet, french horn, and mellophone. Her passion for both music and education led her to become a WeJoySing instructor in 2016. Sadly, WeJoySing closed during the pandemic in 2020, but soon after Mrs. Megan was blessed with the opportunity to continue using the WeJoySing curriculum in her own music classes; thus, Sing for Joy was born!
Mrs. Megan loves spending time with her husband, two sons, and their dog. She enjoys cooking, exercise and sports of all kinds, reading, and being outdoors.
